Cosmetic acupuncture is available for the face and abdomen. In addition to improved aesthetics, patients report better sleep, mental clarity, mood, and digestion, because these treatments are designed to address the whole person, not just one's appearance. Results vary from person to person depending on age and lifestyle, but most patients notice changes to skin tone and fine lines after just three treatments. Deeper wrinkles will start to vanish after about six treatments, with lasting changes to complexion, skin texture and muscle tone after ten. Low-Level Laser Light Therapy (LLLT) is applied to optimize results.

A complimentary consultation is strongly recommended to discuss goals and expectations, before booking your first cosmetic treatment.

CUPPING
A partial vacuum is created in a small cup/vessel over the skin by means of heat or a pneumatic (air) pump. Underlying skin, fascia, muscle and other tissue are gently stretched into the cup, drawing poorly circulated blood to the surface and creating space between tissue layers. Most patients find cupping relaxing and describe the feeling as being similar to a deep tissue massage. The darkness of cupping marks depends on the amount of suction applied and the level of congestion in the area. Applied most often to musculoskeletal tension and chest congestion.

EAR SEEDING
Small spherical seeds/beads are applied with gentle adhesive tape onto specific points on the pinna/auricle (aka the visible part of the outer ear, outside the ear canal). This form of auriculotherapy can treat conditions throughout the entire body including insomnia, motion sickness, smoking cessation, weight-loss, and pain. Ear seeds can provide continuous stimulation of acupoints for up to 5 days.

GUA SHA
A massage tool is scraped across the skin to increase circulation, relax muscles, and improve lymphatic drainage. This technique has been used for millenia to treat pain/inflammation and to treat the common cold. Today, Gua Sha has gained popularity for its brightening, smoothing and lifting effects - a great complement to cosmetic acupuncture treatments.

Red Light Therapy

Low-level laser (light) therapy (LLLT) is used to treat a multitude of conditions that require stimulation of healing, relief of pain and inflammation, and restoration of function. Michelle M. Ching, L.Ac., offers LLLT via Celluma and Omnilux LED devices.
